As Sydney's first tertiary art school, SCA has led the way in studio-based visual arts practice and education since 1976, and are still evolving and delivering innovative contemporary art programs that support the professional success of their graduates.
SCA Gallery stages publicly engaged projects and exhibitions that explore innovative solutions to poignant questions. It achieves this by leveraging its strong relationships with the broader cultural sector spanning a broad range of disciplines.
The exhibition program features works by Australian and international contemporary visual artists and designers, staff, students and graduates.
New Contemporaries is showing from 1-11 December, online and IRL. The works within New Contemporaries represent the capstone of degrees including the Bachelor of Visual Arts, Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) or Master of Moving Image.
Online, our website showcases more than 81 students across these disciplines. It was created in consultation with a colourful cohort and designed to mimic the textured experience of wandering through studios located on-campus.
On-site at The Old Teachers' College, The University of Sydney, over thirty works are on display from studio areas including Screen Arts, Photography, Painting, Printmedia, Sculpture, Ceramics, Glass and Jewellery and Object. Register to attend here.
